Dr.Pravesh Kanthed is an Interventional Spine & Pain Specialist & Head of Interventional Spine & Pain Centre at Choithram Hospital & Research Centre, Indore

  • He did his MBBS from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal & Diploma in Anaesthesiology (DA) from Manipal University in 2004.
  • He completed his DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Anaesthesiology from Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi, in 2006.
  • He then joined Choithram Hospital & Research Centre,Indore as a Consultant in Anaesthesiology & Pain Management.

Since Sep. 2010 he is exclusively working in the field of pain management.

Dr. Pravesh Kanthed was the 1st in Indore to start Interventional Pain Centre. He then went on to do FIPP (Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice) which is awarded by WIP (World Institute of Pain,USA), which is highest possible practical pain exam in the world with highest standards in September 2010 from Budapest, Hungary. He is among first 10 FIPP’s in India.

He is actively involved in Acute & Chronic pain management. Dr. Kanthed has keen interest in spreading pain awareness among general public & is a public awareness speaker at various social forums regarding pain management.

He has conducted various cadaveric & live workshops regarding Interventional Pain Management & is actively involved in teaching & training of Physicians. His clients includes many Doctors & their relatives & referrals from innumerable patients who themselves found relief & avoidance of surgery altogether.

His area of interest is chronic spine pain, including non-surgical treatment for slip disc, sciatica, cervical spondylosis, canal stenosis & failed back surgery syndrome.

He is the 1st in Central India to have started Percutaneous discectomy using Dekompressor, Nucleotomy & Ozone Nucleolysis. He has keen interest in managing Cancer Pain. Dr. Kanthed has more than 3000 procedures from the basic to the most advanced in the last 7 years to his credit.
